Meet the Maker Kevork "Corky" Cholakian of KAC Studios in Los Angeles, CA. Corky has always had a love of design. That love has influenced his own fine art composition and also the products he purchases.
Corky's home decor products include unique ceramic vases, coasters, sake sets, cups, toast trays, paper weights, and bath counter products. The design of these every day products is nothing short of beautiful art work!
He like things that are beautiful but also functional. When he started exploring ceramics he would make things he could display but also use in a practical way. He believes the more we appreciate the visual and functional aspect of something, the more likely it is to feel essential.
As the owner and artist at KAC Studios, located in the downtown LA arts district, he strives to design and create one of a kind functional art and home décor. His handmade objects incorporate design and function. Handcrafted with quality and sustainability, he focuses on small production runs to control quality and consistency.
