THE DOWRY BRIDE AND GROOM: AMANDA + JOHN

THE ENGAGEMENT

After showing Amanda around Boston, with a few great dinners and dates under their belt, Amanda and John ended up losing touch and moving in different directions both personally and professionally. Trusting their gut, they knew "it would be", if it was really meant to be.

“We are so lucky that sometimes life has a funny way of sending you down different paths only to end up at the same destination.”

With a recent move to Texas and a little liquid courage, John reached out to Amanda some five years later when he serendipitously discovered they were both living and working in Austin. 

A casual "catch up" coffee date turned into dinner and drinks and the rest is now history.

With a mutual passion for spicy margs, smooth sounds and the wild west, it wasn't long before John dropped down on one knee at one of the pair's favorite places, Hotel Saint Cecilia in Austin, Texas. Amanda and John plan to be married on November 20th in Dripping Springs, TX with their friends and family (finally) by their side!

Like most couples, Amanda and John have created three different wedding registries that their guests can easily access from their wedding website. Amanda’s love of western landscapes show in the boho-chic, desert-inspired color scheme created by combining The Dowry with Crate & Barrel and Amazon products.

AG: We absolutely loved the artisan items, curated and one-of-a-kind unique goods to furnish our home and cherish for years to come!   TD: What’s the one things you’re most excited about on your registry at The Dowry: AG: I'm really excited for the tangerine carafe and cup by DH McNabb. It is the perfect vibrant pop to our registry and style. Plus, I can't wait to raise a glass after the wedding.   TD: Anything else you want to tell us?
